Recent research utilizing data from the Nationwide Inpatient Sample in the U.S. has highlighted the alarming increase in complications such as maternal death, cardiac arrest, and preterm labor due to opioid use during pregnancy. We’ll delve into this critical public health concern and explore strategies for promoting maternal and child well-being.

It is crucial to raise awareness about this issue and promote interventions to support pregnant individuals struggling with opioid use disorder to ensure the health and well-being of both parent and child.

Join our ECHO to learn best practices for treatment, identify helpful community resources, and collaborate with a panel of Maternal Child Health and Addiction Medicine specialists and your peers. Together, we can help ensure that mothers in New Jersey can give birth safely with the treatment and support they receive within their community.
