A new series is coming! We are currently planning the next Health Equity ECHO and will share details when they’re available

The Rutgers Health Equity Rounds ECHO: Addressing Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Care series is an innovative, case-based initiative designed to address the intricate relationship between health-related social needs, culture, and language in community health.

Built on the 14 CLAS Standards (Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services), this program’s primary objective is to equip healthcare providers with the essential knowledge and practical strategies to deliver care that is both equitable and culturally responsive. Recognizing that cultural differences, communication barriers, and social determinants of health (SDOH) can significantly impact outcomes, we focus on translating these complex issues into actionable clinical practices. By strengthening patient-provider communication, fostering trust, and enhancing care for diverse populations—including the Limited English Proficiency (LEP) community—we aim to promote health equity and ensure all patients receive the quality care they deserve.
