Select Wednesdays
12:00 PM -
 1:00 PM

Adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) face significant disparities in reproductive healthcare access, autonomy, and outcomes. Healthcare providers may not receive training in providing inclusive, respectful, and person-centered reproductive care for adults with I/DD. This mini-series aims to strengthen trust between providers and adults with I/DD to foster productive relationships.

Join us to explore the reproductive health needs of adults with I/DD, exploring the historical context of reproductive justice as well as how to provide practical evaluations and person-centered health exams. Led by a multidisciplinary panel of healthcare providers, disability advocates, and caregivers with professional and lived experience, this series will highlight unique reproductive health needs of adults with I/DD and build skills to provide equitable and person-centered care.

Healthcare providers and community-based professionals including primary and specialty physicians, mental health professionals, social workers, sexual and reproductive health clinicians, nurses, dental professionals, and medical students providing care and support to adults living with I/DD in New Jersey are encouraged to participate in the learning community to empower adults with I/DD to live their best lives.
